Restore Your Smile with a Comprehensive Full Mouth Reconstruction
Patients with significant dental damage can benefit from a full mouth reconstruction at our East Ridge and Downtown Chattanooga, TN, practices. Dr. Damien F. Armstrong offers full mouth reconstruction to our patients to restore their oral health using a comprehensive approach. He will guide you through the process of combining all the restorative procedures you need to achieve your goals.
Unique Treatment for Added Benefits
A full mouth reconstruction provides a comprehensive treatment plan to restore multiple aspects of your oral health. You can combine several restorative treatments to achieve your goals. Combining procedures can shorten your overall treatment time, limit costs, and provide you with a whole new smile.
To begin your treatment, we will perform a full oral exam, taking highly detailed 3-D images and creating impressions of your smile. Dr. Armstrong will use these impressions and images to create a comprehensive plan that covers all aspects of your treatment. He may perform more extensive procedures in stages, to allow you to heal before beginning the next one. However, Dr. Armstrong can often combine procedures to provide you with faster, more affordable results.
Common Procedures Included
When planning your reconstruction, you can select several procedures, including:
- Fillings – Dr. Armstrong places composite resin fillings for our patients because they provide more strength and a more aesthetically pleasing appearance than metal fillings. The doctor can tint the resin so your fillings match the color of your natural teeth and blend with your smile.
- Crowns and Bridges – Crowns fit over cracked, broken, or decayed teeth like a cap, providing structure to the damaged tooth and protecting it from further damage. Bridges can replace one or more missing teeth. Through the use of advanced CEREC® technology, Dr. Armstrong can often design, fabricate, and place your new restoration right in our office, typically in just one visit.
Your full mouth reconstruction can also include various cosmetic procedures to enhance the appearance of your smile once your oral foundation has been restored.
- Inlays and Onlays – Inlays and onlays repair damage to the chewing surface of a tooth. Inlays rest between the cusps. Onlays can replace one or more cusps, and may cover the entire biting surface and extend down the sides of the tooth. Dr. Armstrong can create both restorations in our office in one visit using the CEREC® technology. With proper care, inlays and onlays can last for 20 years or more.
- Dental Implants – Dr. Armstrong can conveniently place and restore implants from his office. These small, titanium posts can fuse with the surrounding bone tissue to provide a permanent anchor for restorations. Dental implants provide significant benefits over any other restorative treatment to replace missing teeth. After a brief healing period, Dr. Armstrong can attach your customized restoration, such as a crown, bridge, or denture.
Your full mouth reconstruction can also include various cosmetic procedures to enhance the appearance of your smile when your oral foundation has been restored.
